Events we organize:

GAME Coffee Hour

One of our most traditional events sees students gather from 8.30 am to 10.00 am on Friday mornings for coffee, tea, bagels and donuts in the MechE commons.

GAME Wine & Cheese

GAME gets classy for our most famous event--monthly evenings of wine and cheese (usually) held in the MechE commons. Featuring a different faculty host each month, this is a great chance to socialize with faculty and students in the department.

GAME Intramural Sports

GAME typically organizes an IM team for every sport offered. Keep an eye out for an email from the IM chairs at the beginning of each semester for details on how to join a team. 

GAME Muddy Mondays

The department version of "happy hour" sees students gather for beverages and snacks - each Monday at 5:30 pm in the Muddy Charles on-campus pub.

GAME Research Seminars

Sign up for or attend our semesterly seminar series where lunch is provided and students present their research to their peers.

GAME Industry Seminars

Learn about possible career paths from MechE alumni working in industry at these monthly seminars - lunch provided.

GAME Quals Seminars

Join our pre-quals and post-quals seminars at the beginning of each semester for advice on preparation and progression through the PhD program.

The Mechanical Engineering Research Exhibition (MERE)

GAME plays a leading role in organizing the annual Mechanical Engineering Research Exhibition. Check out the dedicated MERE page for details on the event.

GAME helps to organize the the fanciest event of the year--a formal gala held each year in the Spring, that brings graduate students and faculty together for an evening of dinner, drinks and dancing.
